Dynamix Audition Requirements:
Please note that Dynamix is a balanced choir with a limited number of singers. Not all parts may have openings each semester. Please call or email to find out!
  • Singers must prepare a solo of their choice. They must have an accompaniment track on CD or an MP3 player.

Why the Star Spangled Banner?
  1. This is one of the most difficult songs to perform correctly.
  2. The directors believe that this is a song every child should know.
  3. There are many opportunities to sing the National Anthem at local events. We encourage P'zazz and Dynamix singers to seek out these performance opportunities.
We would very much like to hear the Star Spangled Banner sung correctly - unlike the adulterations you hear at many ball games. Below is a link to a page where you can listen to Jackie Evancho sing the Star Spangled Banner and you can also download the sheet music. (The really high note that Jackie sings is not necessary, but if you can do it, we'd love to hear it!)

Here are the words, for your reference:

Oh say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
